Are you implying we play LONG BALL, Ronny son?

i-Ron 6:17 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
He had no problem ghosting past Collins and putting the ball in the net in a one on one a few months back.

The kind of chance he hasn't had once since joining us.

We should have just got LACINA TRAORE OR PETER CROUCH and made penalty box entries.

Re: Zaza will come good
I had never seen him play a full game til watching him v ROI in the Euros
A good test against a British style team
Looked way off the pace , lightweight & not up to the challenge.
Has done nothing to change my first impression.

Re: Zaza will come good
You can see that a striker is a threat even he isn't getting any support or chances .... Defoe was more of a threat on Saturday feeding off absolute SCRAPS

If I had to bet I would be fairly confident that neither Zaza or. Calleri will ever score a Premier league goal

i-Ron 6:06 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
I can't stand it that he's not getting chances, and everyone says how he isn't playing a west ham style....

Which is now being massive, winning headers, and holding up the ball.

FFS.

Re: Zaza will come good
From what I read about him, I really thought he could be the missing piece of the jigsaw.

Just hasn't worked out so far. Still, if he fires us into the next round of the MILK CUP he'll be worth every penny.

Agree. It's an outdated, heap of shit nonsense.

no way will we spend £20m on this lemon.

Re: Zaza will come good
I think almost all the comments on him are true

He hasn't had great service
His style doesn't suit us (he doesn't make intelligent runs, isn't great in the air and lacks strength to hold the ball up)
Can't comment on his finishing as he hasn't had one decent chance and that's partly down to service and partly down to his poor movement - most strikers would have had one decent chance by now
I still think he'd be better in a proper front two, perhaps taking advantage of space created by someone else making runs (like how Valencia was far better alongside sakho)

However the current displays point towards a gamble as a signing and he is not worth the amount we would gamble on to get him permanently. I think bilic has to be very careful how he chooses whether to pick him in the next few games as we don't want to trigger a permanent signing of a second expensive striker who doesn't produce enough good games a season

Re: Zaza will come good
He's had enough time to show he's worth 20m time to stop playing him and avoid another large loss !!

Re: Zaza will come good
zaza is shit, fuck me its hardly like he's had bad luck

I don't buy all this no service bollocks either

fuck me my vets striker scored a goal he made himself yesterday beause he has a bit about him

this cunt looks clueless

Willtell 5:45 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
Yes but if he palys 10 or 15 games (not sure which) we are legally obliged to sign him and pay him more than Andy Carroll iirc.

Let's hope Sakho doesn't break down because WH will go nowhere with Zaza as our striker on the evidence so far...

I'd like to get Mauro Icardi in as the papers are saying...

Re: Zaza will come good
Genuinely think he could be brilliant for us.

Has he shown his worth, no not even close but last couple games seems to have adapt to the English League.

I think it would be silly to right off a player so quickly.

Re: Zaza will come good
I doubt very much he will....he looks almost Mido-esque...ie shite ! Andre Gray from Burnley would prove to be a far better and cheaper option.

Re: Zaza will come good
The good thing about Carlton was that we didn't have to pay £25m for the Italian version...

Still don't want him back though....

Fivetide 3:06 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
In the same game time, Carlton would have scored by now, even if it just bounced in off his arse. You know it's true.

Fivetide 3:04 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
Play Fletcher, Ayew and Sakho. send Zaza home in January and try again.

Swiss. 2:49 Mon Oct 24
Re: Zaza will come good
At least we saw less long hopeful balls to him in the air which is not his strength but more to his feet. But as said he screwed those up as well. Has to be sent back. Was annoyed Fletcher came on so late. I would have put him on in front of Calleri.

I assume on the basis that Sakho and Carroll won't be out first choices for a while Ayew will fill his position even though I didn't think he was a central striker.
